JACLYN'S PRIORITY

As your representative on the city council, I am guided by three core principles that define my approach to public service:

 1. Affordability 
I believe our residents already bear enough financial burdens. That’s why I will consistently oppose unnecessary tax increases and push for responsible budgeting. We must prioritize smarter spending and ensure every dollar is used efficiently, without asking our citizens to pay more. I will also work to diversify the tax base to take the burden off of our hard-working homeowners.

 2. Independent Leadership — Not a Rubber Stamp 
If elected, I will represent the people, not to automatically approve every proposal that comes before the council. I will evaluate every policy on its merits, ask tough questions, and hold decision-makers accountable. My vote will always reflect what’s best for our community — not political pressure or insider agendas.

 3. Committed to Transparency 
Public trust starts with honesty. I am committed to open communication, accessible information, and decision-making that happens in the light of day. I will work to ensure that residents always know what’s going on at city hall and have a voice in shaping our future.
